Do You Want to Know the Speed of your Internet Connection?

If you want to know or test the speed of your internet, then I know of one web resource which can help you do so. This web resource is Speedtest.net . Speedtest.net is a broadband analysis tool that allows anyone to test the speed of their internet connection for free. Speedtest.net tests the speed of your internet connection by showing you the upload speed of your internet and the download speed of your internet connection.

To start the test of your internet connection when you get to the Speedtest.net homepage, click on the yellow pyramid showing on the map to begin the test. The yellow pyramid represents the nearest server closest to your destination or location.

I have used Speedtest.net a couple of times and I must say that it is a good web resource and it is also a good resource for knowing the speed of your internet connection.

What Will Happen to your Computer When the Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC) is About to Expire?

Well, the Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC) will expire on June 1st, 2010, but before the Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC) expires, do you know what will happen to it and your computer as a whole? Well, if you don’t, then I’m glad to be the one to tell you. Before the Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC) expires on June 1st, 2010, your computer will shut down every two (2) hours beginning March 1st, 2010. But before this bi-hourly shut down begins, the Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC) on your computer will notify you two weeks before the bi-hourly shutdown of your computer begins on March 1st, 2010.

So if you don’t want to go through the headache of this bi-hourly shutdown, then it is advisable that you install a non-expired version of the Windows operating system on your computer before March 1st, 2010.

How Do I Send Feedback in the Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC)?

The “Send Feedback” feature that was in the Windows 7 Beta was not included in the Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC). So I guess someone will ask “then how do we send feedback about the problems and bugs we have in the Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC)?”. Well, there is an indirect answer to this question. The indirect answer is that the Microsoft Corporation didn’t include the “Send Feedback” feature in the Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC), but they included a similar thing which is called telemetry. Telemetry automatically sends information to the Microsoft Corporation when your computer hangs, crashes or has performance problems and it tells them what applications or devices you were using when the particular problems occurred.
