Is Your PC Ready to Take On Windows 7?

Windows 7 Picture 6 If your PC (Personal Computer) runs Windows Vista then it can run Windows 7, but if your PC runs Windows XP or you are just not sure if your PC can run Windows 7 then you must make sure your PC is compatible with Windows 7. So how do you make sure your PC can run Windows 7? Well it’s simple and it was made simple by the Microsoft Corporation because the Microsoft Corporation has created a software which checks your PC for its compatibility with Windows 7 and that software is called Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor. The Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor is currently in the beta stage so it is currently called Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor Beta. The Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor Beta checks your PC to see if it is compatible with Windows 7 and capable of running Windows 7.

To check the compatibility of your PC with Windows 7, download the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor Beta, install it, and run it. You will then get a report which will tell you if your PC can run Windows 7 and if there are any compatibility issues or problems. If the compatibility issues or problems can be fixed, the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor Beta will give you suggestions on steps to take next. For example if your video card driver needs to be updated, it will tell you and tell you where to get an update of the video card driver. In the process of the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor Beta checking your PC for its compatibility with Windows 7, information about your PC is sent to the Microsoft Corporation but the Microsoft Corporation says that no information will be used to identify or contact you.

Please note that before you begin to run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor Beta, you must be sure to plug in any USB devices or other devices such as scanners, printers, or external hard drives that are regularly used with the PC you're evaluating.

Facebook Usernames

Facebook Well when I first learnt that Facebook was going to make usernames available to its members, the only thought that came into my mind was “so are we not going to have our real names anymore?”, so this thing about the usernames made me a bit worried because what I like most about Facebook is its use of real names and it makes its community a trustful and trusted one. But now, I have been fortunately relieved of my worries concerning the Facebook usernames because the Facebook usernames are not going to substitute the real names used in Facebook but they are rather going to work in conjunction with the Facebook profile URLs. So if lets say your Facebook profile URL is http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=12345 , your Facebook username will look like http://www.facebook.com/username.

I have a Facebook account and I have changed my profile URL to a Facebook username. So my Facebook profile URL was http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1115263261 (this profile URL of mine is still active but it will redirect you to my Facebook username) and my Facebook username, which is what I’m using now is, http://www.facebook.com/shirleyszone .

The main aim of Facebook offering usernames is to make it easier for people to easily connect with you by typing your Facebook username into the web browser address bar instead of typing the long profile URL with numbers.

Your Facebook profile name will not be changed if you get a Facebook username and getting a Facebook username is optional and not compulsory. Also, once you get a Facebook username for your Facebook account, you can never change your username again.
